ABOUT US
Preceptel is a young company based in Sophia Antipolis (South of France), created in September 2003 by José Martinez, a telecommunications engineer and former employee of France Telecom.
Preceptel holds the L33 and L34 Telecommunication operator licenses delivered by the A.R.C.E.P. (the French Telecommunications and Posts Regulator). In January 2004, they obtained the “Expert Partner” certification from France Telecom SA after ending the 2003 fiscal year with a turn-over of 2.4 million Euros.
In 2006, Preceptel obtained the status of « Innovative Start-up », an OSEO ANVAR label (French Innovation Public Agency that provides assistance and financial support to French SMEs and VSEs). They also obtained a financial support from the County Council of the Alps Maritimes, an FCPI label (Mutual Fund for Innovation), and developed industrial and technological partnerships with both the CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) and the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis.
At the juncture of Telecommunications and Information Technology, Preceptel provides turnkey solutions adapted to particular business needs and offers access via all types of communication network (landline, GSM, internet, satellite…).
To ease set-up, implementation, use and maintenance of those solutions, all applications are being proposed in ASP mode (software running on Preceptel servers)
After a two year phase of self-financed research and development and a beta test period of validation, Preceptel is now able to offer innovative and high value-added telecom solutions to the BtoB market, adopting a sector-based approach. These solutions allow customers to improve their performance and margins, whilst increasing their flexibility and providing a better control on their activity.
PHASE I : 2003/2005
From September 2003 (date of creation) to the end of 2005, Preceptel established solid foundations, organized and developed its activities and beta-tested its first innovative solutions (Allokids®, Padeo® and NG Taxi®) :
- France Telecom « Expert Partner » Certification
- Acquisition of telecommunication operator licenses(L33 and L34 licenses )
- Orange Certification
- Creation of an R&D department
- Creation of Service Nodes in a clean room environment
- Creation of a Virtual Private Mobile Network (GSM, GPRS and UMTS norms) with the network of Orange
- Creation of a Virtual Private IP Network using the MPLS protocol with Telecom Development (Cegetel) and Eutelsat (satellite link) to cover non eligible ADSL zones.
PHASE II : 2006
On the one hand, the innovative aspect of Preceptel’s projects is being recognized by academics and R&D professionals, whilst on the other hand, Preceptel begins to sign highly successful marketing agreements.
